According to the draw results of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in Asia, Vietnam is in Group G with rivals UAE, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. This is a relatively unpredictable group because most of the teams in Southeast Asia are no longer strangers to each other.
Therefore, many Vietnamese fans are cautious about the opportunity of Park Hang Seo’s teachers and students to continue. With VFF Vice President, Tran Quoc Tuan, after learning about the results of the draw ceremony, he also shared about the group as well as the chances of going to Vietnam.
Mr. Tuan said: “With a group like this, the teams will be convenient in moving to prepare professionally while the domestic tournaments in other countries are still ongoing. In our group, except for the Asian runner-up UAE, which is rated very strongly, it can be seen that the remaining teams have a very good understanding of each other.
“The opportunity is open to everyone, that’s why it is very important to focus on solving each match and determine the qualification to the next round.”
With the same group with rivals in the same region, VFF Vice President, who has just been appointed as the AFC Competition Head, also expressed his hope that Vietnam Tel will be fueled by the spirit of the fans.
“This group will be very convenient for Vietnamese fans to support the team when playing away from home. This is really a great source of encouragement, cheering for our players.” Mr. Tuan added.
