This afternoon (July 24), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) and coach Park Hang Seo met to agree on the preparation of the Vietnamese team for the tournament. The first match of the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Thailand.
All three sides have agreed to leave the schedule of the 23rd round of the V-League 2019 so that the Vietnamese team has more time to prepare for the opening match on September 5, 2019.
Accordingly, after the 22nd round of V-League 2019 ends on August 25, the Vietnamese team will focus.
Round 23 V-League 2019 instead of taking place on August 30, August 31 and September 1, 2019 as planned, will be left after the 2022 World Cup qualifying period.
With the above plan, the Vietnamese team will have up to 10 days to prepare for the confrontation with Thailand. A long enough time for Mr. Park’s preparations and calculations.
However, there is a disadvantage that the V-League 2019 will end later in October and the time to prepare for SEA Games 30 will be less. Thus, the 5-week preparation plan of U22 Vietnam will not be implemented.
Coach Park Hang Seo agreed to this plan and received the consent of the Vietnam Football Federation as well as the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company VPF.
