The war between Thailand and Vietnam in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers is heating up day by day, hour by hour.
After the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) decided to change the V-League schedule to create conditions for the national team, the Football Federation of Thailand (FAT) also changed the Thai League schedule very quickly.
Similar to Vietnam, Thailand will also have 10 days to prepare for the opening match of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Despite such a long time, Thailand still does not have the best preparation when their 3 pillars are playing Thai J-League football, attacking midfielder Chanathip Songkrasin (Consadole Sapporo Club), defender Theerathon Bunmathan ( Yokohama F Marinos) and midfielder Thitipan (Trinita Oita) will not be able to concentrate on schedule with teammates.
Accordingly, the three stars above will only be able to return home on September 1 or 2 due to busy schedules at the club. That means they will only have 3 days to gather with the whole team before the confrontation with Vietnam.
This also makes coach Akira Nishino more or less difficult in the process of building his play in the Thai team.
In addition to Chanathip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan and Thitipan, Thailand has another pillar playing abroad, that is goalkeeper Kawin who also has the ability to focus late.
With many of these difficulties, new coach Akira Nishino will face a real challenge in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
